Budding actress
Chrystabel Goddy who brutally attacked her colleague, Princess Chineke
while on a movie set last Friday, has been charged to court.
This is
coming few days after the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,
AGN, issued a statement, suspending her from the guild.
She was
charged to a magistrate court, sitting at Ogba,Lagos, during the week,
for allegedly attacking and inflicting physical injuries on her fellow
actor, resisting arrest and hitting a Police officer. HVP gathered that
the case has been adjourned till 8th of March.
Chrystabel,
who was formally based in Port-Harcourt was on a set of the movie
‘Behind the Smile,” alongside Princess Chineke last Friday. They were
shooting the movie around Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos, before they got
involved in a heated argument which landed them in a messy tussle.
Narrating
her ordeal to HVP during the week, Princess said, trouble started when
she warned Chrystabel about her constant late night calls, which she
said disturbed her sleep. After the warning, an argument ensued as
Crystabel slapped Princess.
Princess
was said to have retaliated when Crystabel grabbed her thigh with her
teeth, bit off a chunk of her flesh which brought out her veins.
According
to Princess, her family reported the matter to the Police during the
week as she resisted arrest. She was said to have locked herself up
inside the hotel room, refusing to open the door to avoid being
arrested. And when the police forced themselves into the room, she
became violent as she hit one of them on the chest with the door.
Princess said, she’s still receiving treatment following her biting off a chunk of her flesh, which she said was stitched.
